Promote, advocate for, and preserve a healthy quality of life through smart comprehensive planning, development and infrastructure to support the residents of Vilano and North Beach.
To partner with the County, developers, and local community residents to ensure that the historic and environmental preservation, character, ambiance, and livability of Vilano Beach remains as envisioned by St. Johns County as well as the designers of the Vilano Beach Town Center.
Research. We monitor upcoming land use proposals, research the details and review adherence to St. Johns County code.
Educate. We share our research with the community so that that residents understand how best to influence our County to preserve the best of our community.
Advocacy. We support the residents by advocating for proper development, infrastructure and quality of life.
We encourage intentional and smart development and growth, which sometimes means asking for a pause in the issuance of County permits for any further development on Vilano Town Center until the impact to traffic, infrastructure and lifestyle can be objectively assessed and understood.
We clearly understand that:
We have something very special here in Vilano and North Beach. Where else can you walk down a Main Street with shops, restaurants and hotels, watch the sunrise over the ocean, and turn around later in the day to watch the spectacular sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway?
While we know that growth and development will happen, it is our responsibility to help developers and the County be smart about where, when and how.
