How to find information on property in St. Johns County

Have you ever wondered who owns a piece of property within the County?  Here is a handy tool for you to use. 

The St. Johns County Property Appraiser maintains a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database of all County property, and the database is available to anyone to research information about a piece of property. 

To access the database, click on the link, above.  The blue menu bar at the top provides different search options and information and the picture below is of the “Map” option. 

There are four main sections: 

1.) The blue menu bar at the top of the page offers items related to property ownership. Click on “Map” to return a map view similar to below.  

2.) The map itself is divided into parcel lots, each with a 10-digit parcel number. If you click on a parcel, as shown with the orange arrow, the parcel becomes outlined in green and information about that specific parcel is shown in a pop-up box. 

3.) The left menu bar which offers filters for property information.  Once in the map for example, if you click on “Zoning,” the map will be color coded for different zoning.  If you want to know more about zoning codes, they are located here.  

4.) At the bottom, the highlighted property information will show.        

To see a more detailed report on the property, when you click on the parcel, a pop-up box gives link options.  For additional detail, click “Report" (as shown with the yellow arrow) 

This information is public record and can be accessed by anyone.  

As residents, it is helpful to know what information is maintained. It is no secret that St. Johns County is growing rapidly and it is important that we know where the growth is occurring, what the plans are, and how they compare to the County’s Land Development Code and 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
